Frequently Asked Questions

What is it?

SAP Experts is a collection of nine online knowledgebases accessible through licensed subscriptions: SAP Professional Journal, Financials Expert, BI Expert, HR Expert, SCM Expert, CRM Expert, GRC Expert, Solution Manager Expert, and ERP Expert. They each contain hundreds of articles that provide expert-written, expert-validated advice and instruction covering technical and functional topics about your SAP system. We post weekly updates to the knowledgebases.

How do I subscribe to a knowledgebase?

You can subscribe in two ways:

  1. Use the online form for the knowledgebase you want and submit your order via the Web.

  2. Call us at 1-781-751-8799. We can connect you with a global account manager who can assist you with customizing a subscription package that meets your personal or company needs.

Licenses to the knowledgebase are available for teams of all sizes as well as individual users. Each eligible license holder may access the knowledgebase — using a registered username/personal password — anytime 24/7 from any computer with Internet access. You can easily customize licenses to meet the needs of your team or organization.

What are the terms of service?

The SAP Experts knowledgebases are the property of Wellesley Information Services and are protected by U.S. and international copyright law and conventions. Under the terms of this license, individual named users on the license account are the only people permitted to access our knowledgebase using the login information assigned to them. They may not share their passwords. They may not distribute printed copies of articles for others, nor may they email articles to others without permission from WIS. Please note also that our articles can never be posted to a web page, intranet, or network drive. Licensees may not use a script, spider, or other tool to automatically download articles from the database. Violation of any of these terms will result in immediate loss of access privileges and may result in legal action against the individual and the individual's company.

What methods of payment do you accept?

We accept bank wire transfers, company checks, and credit cards (AMEX, Diners Club, Discover, Mastercard, and Visa).

What are your payment terms?

Payment terms are upon receipt.

What if I decide to cancel my subscription?

If you decide to cancel your subscription, please email us at licenses@wispubs.com. Please provide details regarding the reason you need to cancel. We will then terminate your access and issue a credit or refund based on the unused portion of your subscription.

How can I find out if my company already has a license?

Please contact customer service via email licenses@wispubs.com or by telephone 1-781-751-8799.

What do I do if my company has a license, but I am not registered to use it?

Please contact the individual in your company who administers the license. That person will be able to provide you with the associated link in order to register. If you are not sure who your administrator is, please contact customer service.

Can I upgrade or increase the number of authorized users to a subscription?

You can upgrade or increase the user limit of your subscription at any time. To upgrade a subscription, please contact customer service.

What does it mean if I can't access an article?

It can mean a few different things:

  1. Your license has expired.
  2. You don't have a license to that particular publication.
  3. You have ordered a license, and have not yet paid for it.
  4. You have not accepted the terms of service.

What do I do if I get an error message when trying to access an article?

If you get an error message, you should send an email to licenses@wispubs.com and be sure to include the URL link and a screenshot of the error notification you received. We will forward it to our Web team. Once the problem is resolved, we will notify you.

Who can make changes to the users on a multi-user license?

Only the license administrator can make changes to the users listed on the account at any time.

What is the role of the administrator?

The administrator is in charge of the users who will have access within their company. The administrator has the ability to add, change, and view user access. Single-user accounts don't have administrators.

How do I change my password or profile?

There are two ways to do this:

  1. Once you are logged in to your account, click the "Profile" link at the top right side of the page. From there you can edit your password, address, and job title.

  2. You can contact customer service to have it manually changed. Your administrator cannot change your password.

What do I do if I forgot my password?

If you have forgotten your password, go to the log-in screen and enter your user name (the email address with which you registered). Click the "I forgot my password" link. Our Web site will send the password to the email address we have on file.

Can I log in from any computer?

Yes, you can log in from any computer with an Internet connection.

Who do I contact if I need assistance?

If you need assistance, you can contact customer service by email at licenses@wispubs.com or by phone at 1-781-751-8799. You can also contact your administrator for help.

What is the print component of the license and who gets it?

The print component is a compilation of the updates we have added to the knowledgebase over the last few weeks. It includes one or more full feature article and excerpts from the other updates, and is mailed to the license administrator. Users receive email reminders about new updates 10 times a year. You can subscribe to our RSS feed if you want to know immediately when an article is posted, or you can follow us via each knowledgebase's Twitter account

How do I search for an article?

There are several search techniques:

  1. Advanced search
  2. Category search
  3. Keyword search
  4. Search by publication date

You can limit your search to your licensed knowledgebases, or you can search across all of the SAP Experts knowledgebases. If you search a knowledgebase for which you do not have a license, you see just the article title and abstract.

Who do I contact if I have a question about an article or a technical question?

If you have a question about the article or a technical question you can contact the author of the article. Their contact information is listed at the end of the article. If you need further assistance, please contact the editor or customer service.

I want to write an article. How do I do that?

Contact the editor of the publication. The editor will reply and send the author guidelines. The first step is writing a short abstract describing your idea.

Do you have a question we haven't covered above?

Call our account representatives directly at 1-781-751-8799. They can walk you through the various options available to you, help you tailor an access plan to the needs of your company, and answer any questions you might have.
